The collection began in 1991, when the Corscadden Family purchased Cabra Castle in County Cavan. Idyllically set amidst sprawling lawns on a 100-acre estate, with the backdrop of the magnificent Dún a Rí Forest Park, Cabra Castle boasts stunning architecture, luxurious furnishings, and phenomenal natural attractions.
With 106 breath-taking bedrooms, Cabra Castle offers a wide range of luxury accommodation, from authentic medieval style castle suites, complete with four-poster beds, to the more artisan-style courtyard rooms, charming country cottages and the revamped gate lodge. In 2005, the Corscadden Family purchased Ballyseede Castle in County Kerry, the second member of the Romantic Castles of Ireland collection. As Kerry’s only castle hotel, the magnificent Ballyseede Castle offers an authentic castle experience full of Irish charm and personality.
