With origins dating back more than 800 years, this remarkable landmark is entering an exciting new era as it joins the Romantic Castles of Ireland collection.

Set at the heart of a thriving estate renowned for its championship Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, woodland landscapes and elegant residences, Killeen Castle has long been regarded as a jewel of Irish heritage. A strategic partnership between Romantic Castles of Ireland and the Killeen Castle Estate will see the Castle carefully restored and reimagined as a luxury destination of international standing.

Drawing on Romantic Castles of Ireland’s proven expertise in sensitive heritage restoration and luxury hospitality, the redevelopment of Killeen Castle will honour its rich architectural history while introducing contemporary refinement, comfort and exceptional guest experiences.

Throughout this exciting phase, with the Castle planned to reopen in 2028, all existing operations across the wider Killeen Castle Estate will continue as normal.

As this historic castle is brought back to life, Killeen Castle will once again take its place as the centrepiece of a flourishing estate, a destination where heritage, hospitality and a strong sense of place come together in truly romantic fashion.
